pksa25.splashthat.com.
Launched by Tokyo-based architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham in 2003, PechaKucha (Japanese for “chit chat”) follows a simple premise: creative professionals show 20 slides for 20 seconds each during presentations lasting six minutes and 40 seconds. Active since 2011, the local chapter heads to Pearl Stable for its 25th program, presented in partnership with Las Casas Foundation. Emceed by Randy Beamer, the evening shines a light on jazz musician Doc Watkins, artist and musician Daniela Riojas, writer Elise Urrutia, physical therapist Dr. William Richardson, publicists Christian Reed-Ogba and Uche Ogba, Botika chef Geronimo Lopez, investigative reporter John Tedesco and Trinity sophomore Zabdi Salazar.
