Pixies 2013 (Black Francis, pictured, on vocals and guitar, Joey Santiago on guitar and backing vocals, and David Lovering on drums, plus the touring addition of Paz Lenchantin on bass) announced today they will perform in South America and Europe starting in late March, including appearances at Lollapalooza Chile, Lollapalooza Argentina and Lollapalooza Brazil, as well as Colombia’s Festival Estéreo Picnic. They will then headline the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona, Spain on May 30. If you plan to be at any of these places around those days, click here to buy tickets.

Closer to home, the band will perform in Houston (2/27, Bayou Music Center), Dallas (2/28, South Side Ballroom) and Austin (3/01, Austin Music Hall).

About the addition of Lenchantin (A Perfect Circle, ZWAN, the Entrance Band), Lovering said:

“We are really looking forward to playing with her on these dates,” said Lovering on a press release. “Working with different bass players is very new for the band, but we’re having a great time doing it.” Lenchantin replaced the Muff's Kim Shattuck, who in turned had replaced original member Kim Deal, who left in June.

Today, the band also released the video for “Another Toe In the Ocean,” off EP-1, released September 9. It marked the first original Pixies collection in more than 20 years, and the first without Deal. The video was written, directed and animated by Liviu Boar (Romania's ReeAnimation).

Three months ago, the band released the video for "Andro Queen," the opening track of EP-1.
