Update: Police arrested Gomez at 9:30 p.m. last night.

Police are looking for a 28-year-old man they say killed a 7-year-old girl Wednesday.

Frank Gomez is accused of shooting Iris Rodriguez in the head.

Rodriguez was walking with her mother near Cuellar Park on the West Side when two people shot at them after an unrelated altercation on a basketball court, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

The girl's mother was shot in the arm, according to the newspaper.

The San Antonio Police Department says that anyone who comes across Gomez — who is easily identifiable by the Spurs tattoo on his face — should use extreme caution and immediately call police.

Anyone with information on Gomez's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP. There is a possible reward of up to $5,000 for info that leads to an arrest.
