If you're planning on doing some hardcore drinking this holiday weekend, you'll want to stock up before Sunday.
Per rules from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission,
liquor stores will be closed Sunday as usual. But because New Year's Eve falls on a Sunday, that means these stores will be closed on Monday/New Year's Day too.
Don't worry though, there's always convenience and grocery stores. Though you'll be limited to beer and wine, you can pick some up between regular selling hours (noon to midnight) on Sunday.
