Quarry Farmers Market Celebrates Anniversary with Cookbook

The Quarry Farmers and Ranchers Market celebrates its two-year anniversary with a cookbook. The first edition of the Quarry Farmers & Ranchers Market Community Cookbook is accepting submissions through Sunday, June 16. Recipes should help promote seasonal cooking and using fresh local ingredients, like the ones you can buy at the Market on Sundays, and can be submitted to info@quarryfarmersmarket.com. There’s a form available at quarryfarmersmarket.com if you need some help getting started.

If you’re going to The Granary ’Cue & Brew at the Pearl soon, you might be facing some long lines. Josh Ozersky, author of the Esquire blog, Eat Like a Man, praises The Granary and chef Tim Rattray for “a level of imagination and technique that barbeque has rarely seen.” Usually when restaurants are highlighted in national blogs or media, people notice. Combined with the fact that The Granary is in a tourist-friendly area, the barbecue and beer joint is sure to see an increase in curious diners.
