One of many brilliant guitar slingers to emerge from Navasota, Texas (just outside College Station), Randy Pavlock plays heavy blues with attitude. A self-taught player, he was inspired at the age of 7 by artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Miles, B.B. King, and Willie Nelson. Late mentor and family friend Miles joined up with Pavlock on his 2008 CD, Miles To Go, for a recording of ‘Hey Joe,’ a song Miles once performed with Hendrix. $5, 7:30pm, Sam’s Burger Joint, 330 E.
