Rapper Yella Beezy Shot on Texas Highway

Deandre Conway, better known as rapper Yella Beezy, was hospitalized after being shot while driving on a highway in Texas.

The on-the-rise artist was on the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Lewisville early Sunday morning when someone in a vehicle pulled up next to him and opened fire. He was shot three times.

We can now confirm that rapper Yella Beezy -- whose "That's On Me" single has become one of the biggest songs of the year and one of the biggest rap hits ever out of Dallas -- was hospitalized after being shot last night.

According to the Associated Press, Capt. Dan Rochelle says police have not determined a motive yet and no arrests have been made.

Yella Beezy opened for Beyonce and Jay-Z when their tour stopped in Dallas in September.
