Rare Artifacts Black History Exhibit
The Nobles Institute is proud to bring the award-winning traveling exhibit, “The 5th Element,” to San Antonio for the first time ever! Come experience rare, original memorabilia and artifacts from slavery to modern day hip hop culture. The hip hop portion features original material from pioneer artists such as Grandmaster Flash, Sha-Rock, Run DMC, Public Enemy, Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill, WuTang, Kanye West, Nas, Tupac, Nipsey Hussle, and many more.
View historical documents signed by Garvey, X, King, Angela Davis, Huey Newton and others. Prominent pieces in the collection include slave shackles, a rare slave bill of sale and more.
