Rep. Diego Bernal Responds to Open Carry Racist with Humor

Texas Rep. Diego Bernal is taking a lot of heat for trying to comply with the state's new open carry law, namely, that he's providing signs to businesses that want to prohibit open carry at their establishments.

The signs meet all the legal requirements, which are specific. And businesses have to contact Bernal if they want one.

However, second amendment advocates have criticized Bernal for providing the signs.

Yesterday, one of those critics took it way too far by being a complete racist jerk.

Here's what "Bruce" sent to Bernal:

Pedro, when did you get back from Mexico ? Do you miss mexico ? Pedro, send me some of them signs that allow open carry of firearms into my businesses. Lots of businesses will be so much safer because of this wonderful law that takes effect on Jan. 1,2016 ! God bless Texas ! Texas like a whole other country ! Close our border to all wetback Mexicans, and deport the wetback mexicans already here ! RDNKTXN

Wow, what an asshole.

Here's what Bernal told us in response to Bruce.

"It's hilarious. I've dealt with bullies before. All they're good for is providing material for my next career as a stand-up," he said.
