"Hi, I'm Shea Serrano," is what the real Shea Serrano might say. This is what he looks like.

I haven't even read Shea Serrano's The Rap Yearbook, but based on the Amazon reviews he left for himself, it's funny as shit. Maybe via my big-ups here, Serrano will feel inclined to send one to 915 Dallas, San Antonio, Tx 78215 c/o D.T. Buffkin. He did it for the last music editor/critic/godhead here. Maybe he'd do it for me.

Anyway, Serrano's seemingly hilarious book (I also read the press blurb Serrano had to write to hype the book, so I'm now an authority) has just hit....(Ok, I just opened a new tab and read the "Jay Z and UGK "Big Pimpin'" chapter, shit's legit)...the New York Times Bestseller list (or so he says, I can't find it. But, I'm still gonna promote it because it's better than anything Bill O'Reilly has ever written and that dumb-dumb is all over the bestseller list).

This, of course, means that someone from San Antonio who wrote a book about hip-hop with drawings of Jay Z, Pimp C and Bun B in a sailboat - Jay Z complete with sailor cap, navy-and-white-striped Polo and cigar - is selling as many books as those women that write soft-core, Fabio-mance paperbacks by the register in H-E-B that your mom checks out from the library for free. WE DID IT!! THE SPURS WILL DEFINITELY WHEN THIS YEAR!!!!!!

(Also, just saw that The Times, not Morris Day's awesome group and Jay and Silent Bob's fave, is publishing the list with The Rap Yearbook on Nov. 1, that's why it ain't up yet. Fuck John Mayer.)
