SA Spurs Unveil New Military-inspired Uniform

Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green, and the new uniform.

The San Antonio Spurs have a new uniform... at least for two nights. “Playing in San Antonio, we’re constantly reminded of the selflessness and courage of those that serve,” said Spurs guard Danny Green. “We owe them a debt of gratitude and it is an honor to recognize and show support to all active and retired military members.” The Spurs will debut its military-themed outfit when they host the Washington Wizards on November 13. They'll use it again on Military Appreciation Night, presented by USAA, on Friday, February 28, when the team plays against the Charlotte Bobcats. The new uniforms are part of the NBA Pride Uniform Collection and are designed taking into consideration each team’s core identity, history and/or region. San Antonio is known as Military City, USA, with more than 300,000 service men and women. Fans will be able to bid on the game-worn camouflage jerseys during post-game auctions to benefit the Silver & Black Give Back youth programs. For more information on the auctions, visit SBGB.org.
