Buck the eff up and let down your hair because the Korova hosts the metal stage this year for the San Antonio Music Awards.

In true metal fashion, Screaming in Silence starts off with a punch in your gut at 10 p.m. Their song, “Without Words,” will throw you against the wall, while the introduction to “Buried” will leave you confused if you walked into the right venue only to remind you why you came in here in the first place.

The duo, Cursus takes you on at 11pm. Throwing doom and destruction into the atmosphere with guitars, samples and a loud drum rhythm if you don’t want to cause trouble after this you need to get your head checked. “Temples of Saturn” is a trip in and of its own that is sure to be a crowd favorite.

By now your neck should be feeling the pain of the head banging as Fumar comes on at midnight. During this early morning, late night performance the blood should be pumping strong and your energy should be loud. Fumar is fast paced hitting metal music.

To the headbanger’s delight, this stage will have a last band at 1 a.m., Defiled Crypt. You should be in full force by now, or maybe your ears could be bleeding, but this is the band you want to make sure you listen to when you drive in San Antonio. In keeping the metal sound strong, Defiled Crypt has that intense, intravenous aesthetic that rocks your living core.
