A San Antonio man has been arrested after allegedly fatally shooting a man who was in the VIP section of a bar he said he had reserved for his birthday.

San Antonio police arrested 24-year-old Tremaurya Powell on Monday in the November shooting of 26-year-old Terrence Lamont Scott. Police said Powell was celebrating his birthday at Chaser's Sports Bar on November 17 when he became aggressive toward fellow bar patrons and started fighting.

A witness told police that he, Scott and their girlfriends were near the DJ booth when Powell told them to "move out of his section" he had reserved. Powell allegedly shoved Scott, who responded by punching Powell, who fell backward onto floor.

According to the arrest affidavit, Powell got up and advanced on Scott while pulling a handgun out of his hoodie. Scott tried to flee, but Powell reportedly shot him in the back of the head. When police arrived at the bar around 12:43 a.m., Scott was dead from a single gunshot wound.

Reports say Powell is expected to be charged with murder in addition to six outstanding warrants, including two felonies not related to the shooting.
