San Antonio Popular Among Millennials, According to Survey

Austin may be known for being home to many transplants, but it isn't the only Texas city with that reputation.

Apartment List recently came out with a survey asking renters questions like whether they planned to move to a new city and what they looked for when relocating. Like true millennials, they said better jobs, affordable housing and livability.

Turns out, that makes San Antonio a very attractive place to call home.

The Alamo City ranked fourth overall out of the 75 metropolitan cities surveyed. San Antonio ranked 26 in the job market, with only a 6.6% unemployment rate. Not too shabby. Living conditions are made even better by affordable housing with the median rent just over $1,000.

For livability (translation: social life), San Antonio ranked fifth for dating opportunities and making friends.

So if you see an influx of young folk, don't be surprised. Just be sure to teach them the San Antonian way of life.
