San Antonio Reggae Festival

When: Sat., Aug. 20, 3-11 p.m. 2016
Price: $15-$20
What could be better on a hot summer afternoon than live reggae music under a shaded pavilion, food trucks, cold beer, a children’s area and cultural vendors? When the event includes big international reggae performers like Sister Nancy, known as the First Lady of Dancehall, Aima Moses, who was voted Best Reggae Artists in the Dominican Republic from 2008-2013, and long time local favorites such as One Destiny, you have the makings for quite a party. Sponsored by Heineken, Green Lotus and the San Antonio Food Bank, this first-time event will take place on Saturday August 20 from 3-11pm under the Pavilion at Rosedale Park. The event includes live performances from Jahdan Blakkamore, Shanead, The Skunk Brothers, Arma Musical and Salt Water Slide. DJs Hans 242 and Dish 1 will keep the crowd dancing throughout the afternoon. Advance Tickets can be purchased at The Reggae Bar, with a special discount available with a canned goods donation to the San Antonio Food bank. Free admission for children under 12.
