Tejano legend Emilio Navaira may have passed away almost three years ago, but his legacy lives on in San Antonio. As such, the local symphony will bring Navaira's hits to the stage.

The San Antonio Symphony just announced a special performance to honor Navaira, who died at the age of 53 in May 2016. "A Tribute to Emilio Navaira," scheduled for Jan. 31 at 8 p.m., will feature the star's songs played by the symphony as well as Navaira's son Diego.

On Instagram, Diego teased the performance and said he's honored to sing in his father's place.

Navaira's brother Raulito said he's grateful the symphony is honoring his brother's legacy.

"Emilio and I had performed all our songs with them back in the '90s and it was an incredible experience," Raulito Navaira told KSAT. "Now with my nephews Emilio IV and Diego Navaira, it's just going to be amazing. I'm very excited."

Tickets, $10-$81, are on sale now.
