San Antonio's Airport Leaves Travelers Unsatisfied, According to Survey

If you've ever said that San Antonio's airport sucks, know that you're not alone, and you've been heard.

A survey from J.D. Power ranked San Antonio as one of the lesser airports among those similar in size. Of the 22 mid-size airports surveyed, San Antonio International Airport ranked 18th in traveler satisfaction. Sacramento ranked first in the category, but who even travels to Sacramento, anyway?

Michael Taylor, a travel expert at J.D. Power, told that the mid-size category is extremely competitive. He said the company's survey considered responses from more than 34,000 travelers between January and August. These travelers shared their opinion on terminal facilities, security, checking in as well as store and restaurant options.

San Antonio's only major airport ended up with 761 out of 1,000 points, just below average. We get it, though. There's always construction, it can get pretty crowded and the fact that a major city like ours has an airport with only two terminals is kind of lame.

Maybe the logistics of flying are no fun, but you have to admit that some parts are pretty cool. Public art throughout the airport are pretty sweet. Like have you seen the giant wheel of suitcases in Terminal B? Or Chuck Ramirez's suit case portraits in the parking garage?

So next time you're flying out, keep the annoyances of the airport at bay and just sip on a margarita from Rosario's or La Gloria instead.
