Stay Golden Social House may have closed its doors this past June (the former space was promptly demolished to make way for a 10-story office building), but it'll be born again in the coming days as Still Golden Social House.
Opened by the same group behind Stay Golden, Still Golden is a block away from its predecessor's location. The bar will focus on the same value-driven cocktails (nothing more than $8), and craft beers, and will screen most major sporting events on four TVs and one projector, much like Stay Golden used to.
But for this go-around, Jeret Pena and co. are finessing the concept to include more indoor seating (they have 3,000-square-feet to work with), an expanded game room with air hockey and other arcade games, and a wrap-around outdoor patio that'll add another 1,300 square feet of seating to the corner of Grayson and Broadway.
Six to eight draft beers will be on tap including HighWheel, Live Oak and a third seasonal beer, as well as Modelo and Miller Lite, which will be available by the pint and in pitcher. The cocktail list will feature eight variations on the classics with happy hour drinks available at $6.
Still Golden will also feature a food truck component, though those details were still in the works at this time, but Pena wants the food to feature loaded carne guisada fries, nachos, and breakfast tacos (after the bar has closed for the night).
Hours for Still Golden will be 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Follow them on Facebook for updates on the opening.
