Say Goodbye to the Scooby-Doo Ride at Six Flags Fiesta Texas

  • sixflagsfiestatexas / Instagram
Gee gang! You better make your way to Six Flags Fiesta Texas before Sunday, January 7 if you want to enjoy the Scooby-Doo Ghostblasters ride.

The amusement park announced earlier this week that it would close the 15-year-old attraction, located on the Boardwalk. The video game-like ride lets you shoot ghosts and other targets with light guns in hopes of racking up points.

The closing date coincides with the Fiesta Texas' Holiday in the Park, after which the Ghostblasters spot will be renovated to house "the latest dark ride innovation later in 2018," according to an official statement.

In the amusement park industry, "dark ride" is when the ride goes through a building. As far as the "innovation" part, we'll just have to wait and see.

RIP Ghostblasters.
