Napoleon takes the Alamo

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema brings 2004's sleeper hit, Napoleon Dynamite, to life May 25 & 28 with Numa Numa Dance and look-alike contests, prizes, and special events, including photos with Glamour Shots by Deb, Uncle Rico's van, and Pedro's cousin's car. Pre-movie entertainment and games begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, with the movie screening at 9:30 p.m. The Finals Competition begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday May 28; the movie screens at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5.50. Symphonic Television on KLRN

San Antonio Symphony President Eddie Aldrete will be the guest on the May 19 episode of KLRN's Conversations. Showtime is 8 p.m. Aldrete's appearance is the prelude to The Road to Tchaikovsky V, premiering at 8 p.m. May 26, a Symphony documentary sponsored by the Tobin Foundation that tracks a major performance from selection to opening night.
