“Live long and party”

"Its five-hour mission: to explore strange new cocktails, to seek out new tattoos and new music, to boldly party where no man has partied before" - Captain James "Thot" Kirk.

On July 16, which is right around the time of Star Trek Beyond's July 22 premiere, Alamo City Comic Con will throw a punk rock Star Trek party at Paper Tiger, complete with music, a costume Contest, $25 tattoos(!), art vendors and themed cocktails. Think "Beam me up schnappy."

Beyond the punny name, Spock the Casbah will turn everything Trekkie into a rock 'n' roll odyssey, fueled by Purple's righteous bong-water soaked punk jams. Fingers crossed that a nerdy mosh-pit will be sparked (and RIP to all the Spock ears and Star Trek Insignia metals lost in the wreckage).

You can thank Doomsday Tattoo for providing that badass Khan tattoo on your ass or that obligatory inspirational Klingon script tat. Maybe with that fresh ink you'll be bringing home alien babes from all galaxies that night.

Sure, with constant revivals, Star Trek (like rival sci-fi phenomena Star Wars) is a pop culture black hole, always sucking up attention and money 'till the end of time. But who's complaining?
