In the first of hopefully few concert postponements from artists coming to San Antonio in 2018, Shakira is pumping the breaks on her new tour.

The “Whenever, Whatever” singer announced back in June of this year that she’d be headed to San Antonio in January 2018, on her “El Dorado World Tour" (amongst the good number of latin pop acts headed this way). But according to a press release from Live Nation, the hip-shaking songstress has been told by her doctors that she needs to rest her vocal cords.

“Shakira’s doctors have determined that she needs to spend the next few months working towards recovery in order for her vocal cords to be in optimal condition for touring, and as such we are obliged to postpone the U.S. leg of the ‘El Dorado World Tour,’ previously scheduled for January 2018.”

So, now we have to wait ‘til Friday, August 24, 2018.

Ugh..
