Shina James: Like a Dream

Shina James was born and raised in San Antonio, TX where she currently resides with her husband and two kids. She loves to write and is obsessed with poetry. Reading life changing novels is one of her favorite past times along with traveling and listening to great music. She is a hopeless romantic and tries to bring as much romance into her stories as possible. She is a foodie at best and loves to eat Italian food. About Like a Dream: A shocking event leaves fifteen year old Amelia Waters devastated, especially when she’s forced to stay with her mysterious aunt Leona and two cousins. The moment she reluctantly settles into a toxic reality, she becomes bombarded with nightmares about the past that reveal something she could have never prepared for. With her back against the wall and no way out, Amelia begins to struggle with the will to live, until Aaron—a mesmerizing boy from her dream, becomes a reality. Every nerve in her body gravitates to him as they both fall deeply in love. But slowly Amelia begins to realize that nothing was ever a coincidence, and there is something far greater and dangerous in store for her.

Chicken-on-a-Stick
Fiesta favorite chicken-on-a-stick is basically the supreme food booth snack from all of Fiesta. San Antonians look forward to eating it all year, and usually commemorate their first chicken-on-a-stick of the season with a selfie. It’s inspired chicken-on-a-stick necklaces, earrings, stickers and more from local designers, and has appeared on menus across SA so folks can get their fix. Thank goodness for that.
