Smokey Robinson Brings Soul Classics to the Majestic

  • Via Facebook/Smokey Robinson
It's a miracle! Smokey Robinson is coming to San Antonio this fall to amaze and astound us with his catalog of iconic hits. The concert will be held at the Majestic Theater on Oct.8 at 8 p.m. and tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 10 at 10 a.m.

With a career spanning over 40 years, the singer/songwriter is credited in helping write over 4,000 songs. Robinson started his musical career with the Motown group The Miracles, whose classic hits include "Tears of a Clown," "Special Occasion," "Tracks of My Tears" and many more. Robinson also wrote for many other Motown artist including The Temptations, Mary Wells, Brenda Holloway and Marvin Gaye, but his group was the first to put Motown on the charts and provide label owner Barry Gordy with a jumping off point to what would become one of the most impressive rosters of talent in American music history. Robinson also has a standout solo career and created the hits "Just to See Her," "Quiet Storm," "Cruisin'" and "Being With You," breezy ballads perfect for long walks on the beach, candlelit sonnet readings or just cruisin' together.

Tickets for the event will be priced from $50 to $135 and will be sold here, here or by calling (800) 745-3000.
