I agree. It’s not like I’ve gotten any PR about it. But all the same, the people need know, just in case. Plus — and I must be having an extraordinarily good day in the karma department — I risked extreme professional embarrassment by watching the trailer at my work desk, which is to say that I watched between 30 seconds and a minute of amateur-ish-looking video of Lindsay Lohan pole dancing at my work desk, all so I could tell you a little about the plot. But the trailer editors didn’t really bother with that. Sheesh.
Though In the Company of Men roused in me a most perverse (talent-related) attraction to Aaron Eckhart, I’m feeling a bit on the edge about this No Reservations flick. Brian Villalobos, too, has some reservations, which he shares on page 26. Get ’em while they’re hot.
Did the time for The Simpsons Movie come and go already? Maybe, but various sources (trailer-watching Simpsons fans, here and abroad) tell me they’ve got reason to hope. Don’t ask me, my parents would never let me watch the TV show.
Also opening (perhaps unnecessarily) this week, Who’s Your Caddy, about a rap mogul who goes putter-to-putter with some snotty old men at an exclusive country club. Caddy features a Hummerized golf cart, Principal Ed Rooney, and boobies. Funny, I didn’t get any PR for this one, either. Is anyone out there?
