Local workers, unions and community leaders will gather at the San Antonio AFL-CIO for a 15-minute sneak preview of the 75-minute documentary Building the American Dream. In Texas, construction workers face the deadliest conditions in the country. Building the American Dream follows three immigrant families who are rising up to seek justice. A panel discussion with Chelsea Hernandez, Director/filmmaker, Jose P. Garza, Exe. Dir. of Workers Defense Project and Shane Denn, Counsel Rep. with San Antonio Building & Construction Trades Council will follow. A memorial service for workers who lost their lives on the job.
