Solar San Antonio: Solar Tour 2009

Release Date: 2009-09-30

This Saturday, 150,000 people will shed a ray of light on a concept many of us have trouble wrapping our heads around — “going solar.” Ten SA homes and businesses will participate this year, opening their doors to give visitors a peek at how they’ve lowered energy costs, reduced dependence on fossil fuels, and tackled climate change by incorporating solar power into their everyday lives. Suggestion: Start your self-guided tour at the Heihn Residence (address below), with a trusty map printed from Solar San Antonio’s website (solarsanantonio.org/2009SolarTour.htm). Free, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., 6328 Robinsnest, San Antonio, TX, 78249, solarsanantonio.org
