Sounds of the West: Music Salon Series: The Texas Woman, Her Heritage in Song

The Briscoe Western Art Museum debuts its newest program Sounds of the West: Music Salon Series. From popular standards of the past to the diverse melodic traditions of our region, this series highlights the musical arts of the American West in an intimate gallery setting. Ruth Friedberg (pianist and lecturer) and Flicka Rahn (soprano) explore diverse musical traditions—Native American, Spanish, Mexican, Spanish, French, German—that showcase women in song from this region. Held in conjunction with National Women’s History Month. The Museum is open late and FREE from 4:00-9:00pm every Tuesday!
