South Side Billboard Welcomes NBA Draft Pick Lonnie Walker IV to San Antonio

Spurs rookie guard Lonnie Walker IV has arrived in San Antonio, and the Alamo City is welcoming him with open arms.

Last Thursday, the Spurs selected Walker from the University of Miami in the 2018 NBA Draft. With the 18th pick, general manager R.C. Buford called Walker "one of the best athletes in the draft."
Buford's excitement is shared with some San Antonians. This billboard was put up at I-35 and Southcross, sharing a thoughtful message with Walker: welcome home.

The rookie arrived in the Alamo City on Tuesday and has gotten warm welcomes from San Antonians.
