Chris Hill announced plans for El Mirador's last day in business on November 18.

According to the release, "the restaurant is offering buffet style for just $9.95 or a complimentary buffet with the purchase of an alcoholic beverage or cocktail. The restaurant will donate leftover food to the San Antonio Food Bank.

The Southtown staple has been serving Mexican food to San Antonio since 1960. The property has been acquired by Lisa Wong, the well-known local restaurateur known for other successful Mexican concepts such as Rosario's and Ácenar and most recently, operator of Go Rio boat cruises. Chris Hill is grateful to the loyal customers who have supported the business since he took over in 2014. He encourages the community to support Wong’s future plans for this location.

As for future business endeavors, locals can expect a fresh tiki-concept coming to downtown from Hill and Spot On Hospitality. Stay tuned as details emerge."

For now, there are no plans in place for what will become of the location at 722 S. St. Mary's St.
