"SUBMERGED", a new exhibit from San Antonio-based artist Douglas Galloway, debuts on Saturday, Nov. 13 at Galloway’s studio located in the Southtown Arts District. The opening reception takes place from 6 - 10 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
Two years in the making, Galloway’s SUBMERGED series features a collection of fifty new works that, on the surface, reflect on Hurricane Katrina’s catastrophic flooding, but on a deeper level, explore the decisions and struggles we all face when going through dark times in our lives. Galloway’s work is meticulously created with paint, paper and beeswax.
