CANCELED. If you’re unfamiliar with the phenomenon of Chicano Soul, get ready for a quick history lesson. Late music journalist Margaret Moser called the San Antonio-born genre the “missing puzzle piece of American rock ’n’ roll” for the way it melded aspects of Tejano, blues, R&B and soul. Ozuna and his band Sunny and the Sunliners helped pioneer that musical form in the ’60s, and he’s continued to release music as recently as last year. Getting the chance to see a living legend like Ozua perform is a rare occurrence, let alone for free.
