Starting today, students plan to descend on the University of Texas campus to protest the state's new “campus carry" with a less conventional means — a whole lot of dildos.

Organized by UT alumna Jessica Jin and current student Ana López, the demonstration aims to highlight what they say is an absurd law — welcoming more guns on campus — with an equally absurd form of protest.

On their site cocksnotglocks.org, protest organizers write, “The State of Texas has decided that it is not at all obnoxious to allow deadly concealed weapons in classrooms, however it does have strict rules about free sexual expression, to protect your innocence.” Hence the dildos.

Classes for the new semester began at 8 a.m. today and already several students are making sure their voices are heard and their dildos are seen. On Tuesday night, the group handed out more than 4,500 dildos that had been donated for the protest.

The protest, organizers say, should by no means be limited to UT students. They've encouraged pissed-off students of all backgrounds attending public universities across Texas, which are now required under state law to allow guns on campus, to strap a dildo to their backpacks, purse or somewhere else visible in solidarity with #CocksNotGlocks
