TCU Lockdown Lifted After Workplace Argument Leads to Shooting

  • Dallas Morning News
Earlier this morning, Texas Christian University went into lockdown mode alerting students and faculty of "an armed person on campus."

According to Fort Worth police, the lockdown was instigated by an argument between two Roadrunner Shuttle employees outside the Amon G. Carter Stadium.

One of the bus drivers fired a shot at the other, which missed, but the shooter shot again at the other person as he was driving away in his shuttle bus — this time hitting the mark. Police say the bus driver is not seriously injured from the gunshot wound and the shooter is in custody.

An hour after the initial warning to "seek shelter immediately," TCU lifted the lockdown and has resumed all normal activities on campus.
