When: Sun., Nov. 18, 1-8 p.m. 2018
Price: Free
highvoltagemusic.org
The High Voltage Music Program, S.A.’s nonprofit equivalent to the School of Rock, will turn the mic over to teens for a free fest highlighting young performers, artists and artisans. Rescheduled after an October rainout, the Teens on a Mission showcase will raise money for High Voltage, a free IDEA South Flores after-school program that lets kid rockers learn from the scene’s old pros. High Voltage students will perform throughout the day with Chicana punk band Fea closing out the evening. In addition to the headliner, the bill includes Z-Pocalypse, a rock outfit comprised of High Voltage students, and Tiarra Girls, an Austin-based teen trio produced by award-winning Austin producer AJ Vallejo.
