Texas-Born NFL Star Drew Brees' Childhood Home Is for Sale — Let's Take a Tour

Before he led to the New Orleans Saints to a 2010 Super Bowl victory, NFL favorite Drew Brees played football at Westlake High School in Austin.

The four-bedroom Austin home where Brees lived as a schoolkid is now on the market for almost $1.9 million. Although born in Dallas, the future football star spent his youth in the state capital during much of the '80s and '90s.

The home, built in 1933, is situated in the North University neighborhood near downtown Austin. Located on a roughly half an acre, the 3,000-square-foot, two-story house features a pool and a guesthouse. It also backs up to a creek.

Beyond Brees' history, the property has another interesting football tie-in: the current owners bought it from Brees' former stepfather, Harley Clark, best known for introducing the “hook 'em horns” hand motion when he served as a University of Texas cheerleader during the '50s.

The home is listed by Suzanne Pringle of Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty.
