Texas Rep. Claims Bernie Sanders Is a Nazi

Update 2:14 p.m.: Rep. Villalba says he meant Sanders is a Democrat Socialist, not a Nazi. Story updated.

Texas State Representative Jason Villalba thinks Bernie Sanders is a Nazi.

Oh, boy.

Progress Texas executive director Ed Espinoza says Villalba should know better. 

"Any politician with half a brain knows better than to make that type of accusation," said Ed Espinoza, executive director of Progress Texas. "The Democratic debate discussed immigration, guns, paid sick leave, and student loan debt, which are important issues on the minds of millions of Americans."

Here's a few screenshots of Villalba claiming Sanders said he is a Nazi.



Hours later Villalba says he never called Sanders a Nazi.

For the record, Nazis were National Socialists.
