A 10-day, city-wide party requires a lot of live music to keep the crowds moving. The Fiesta Oyster Bake kicks off the first weekend of Fiesta on Friday, April 16. The two-day event features multiple stages of entertainment, including local and regional musicians. Day One opens with a country lineup (Randy Rogers, Robert Earl Keen), an oldies show (Harry Wurzbach & the 410s, Vince Vance & the Valiants), and a jazz showcase (the Jim Kalson Trio, Footprints featuring Joan Carroll, Ignacio Berroa with the St. Mary's Jazz Orchestra). Day Two showcases soft rock (Structure, Brody, Altered Natives, the JFJ Band), hard rock (the Cherry Street Pushers, Dragonfly, the Burden Brothers, Pushmonkey, Default), country (Cactus Country, Rodney Hayden, Two Tons of Steel, and the Kevin Fowler Band), Tejano (Metal, Frijoles Romanticos, Del Castillo, and Bobby Pulido), and a special 3rd Coast Rock stage featuring KSYM 90.1 picks Patricia Vonne, Wayne Harper, Full Tilt, and Joe King Carrasco.

A Night in Old San Antonio takes over La Villita Tuesday, April 20 through Friday, April 23. NIOSA acts include a diverse showcase of entertainment, from classic jazz to Greek folk music to oompah polka music. The lineup over four nights features the Mo-Dels, the Regency Jazz Band, 3 Stepz, the Grateful Geezers, Bobby Baker & the Longnecks, Conjunto Bene Medina, Lonesome Louie, E Muzeki, Campbell & Wilson, the Chain Gang, the Barn Danglers, the Whoosits, the Sabas Trio, Texas Top-Hands, Geronimo Trevino, the Julbilee Polka Band, Zarabande, and the Revival Brothers. The cultural showcase also boasts mariachis, ballet folklorico, and Appalachian clog dancing.

The Tejano Explosion at West Houston and North Frio streets runs Thursday, April 15 through Saturday, April 24, and features multiple acts each evening, including Los Desperadoz, Los Tovares, La Tropa F, Los Garcia Brothers, Liberty Band, QVO Band, Soul Struck, Jay Perez, Ram Herrera, Ruben Ramos, Little Joe, Michael Salgado, Xelencia, Grupo Vida, Gary Hobbs, David Lee Garza y Los Musicales, and Chente Barrera. This event is free before 6 p.m.
