The darlings of underground rock ’n’ roll, The Last Vegas is known for going viciously independent at the height of commercial popularity. They’ve sold more than 10,000 records, toured in 17 countries, and boast a rabid fan base, all without the support of a major label. The Rockford, Illinois, quintet delivers trashed-up sleaze rock with a menacing wall of riffage — pairing the cocky, immortal swagger found in Mötley Crüe’s rock anthems with an under-the-radar indie sensibility. The Last Vegas might accidentally stumble into the mainstream one day, but they’ll always be at home at a packed ’n sweaty B-stage club gig.
