The Midnight Hour — consisting of A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge, who’s produced for the likes of Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan and Common — is arguably one of the most ferocious duos active right now. And their genius goes beyond the numerous genres they tiptoe through with their music — jazz, soul, bebop and R&B. There’s a magical dynamic they pull out of the air with their songwriting that makes them one of the most talked-about live performers of the year.
