One of our favorite local bands, Big Soy, will soon be heading to Ireland for a five-date April mini-tour, but before they start packing, they’ll headline a Thursday, March 27 gig at the Warhol (1011 Ave. B) with fellow SA duo Robo Trumble and El Paso’s Mexicans at Night. Showtime is 9 p.m. After they return to South Texas, Big Soy will gear up for a CD-release show in late May. ...

Fans of the four elements will have both ends of the hip-hop spectrum to choose from this week when influential California wordsmith Aceyalone and Memphis’s Academy Award-winning Three 6 Mafia visit the Alamo City.

As part of L.A.’s Freestyle Fellowship, Aceyalone helped propel the fertile Good Life Café scene into a sonic movement and followed up with some stellar solo albums to boot. He returns to San Antonio on Wednesday, March 26, for a show at the Rock Bottom Tattoo Bar (1033 Ave. B) with OBX and DJ Tech-neek.

On Saturday, March 29, rap’s first Oscar-winning group hits Rosedale Park as part of Power 106.7’s Low Low Car Show. Kevlar is optional.
