According to the Jamaican Observer, Julian Marley has stepped down from his North American tour with Thievery Corporation, which kicked off in Connecticut last Thursday. He was scheduled for an appearance at the Aztec Theatre on Saturday.

“Due to the critical illness of a family member, Julian has decided to take this time to be with family and won't be able to support Thievery Corporation on their U.S. tour,” said a press release from the singer/guitarist's publicist. “We are currently in communication with our agents regarding future shows outside of this tour, which are still in place as normal and would take place later this year.”

According to a press release from Live Nation, The Suffers have stepped up to replace Marley.

Since 2011, the H-Town heroes have been on a steady grind and have no plans of stopping. It seems the secret to their success is simple. Keyboardist Patrick Kelly said in the press release, "There is a universal groove in the music that we play," while bass guitarist Adam Castaneda adds, "I don't think any of us are trying to impress anyone with our technical abilities, we just want to make them dance."

$37.50-$59.50, Sat Nov. 3, 7pm, Aztec Theatre, 104 N. St. Mary’s St., theaztectheatre.com.
