The Top 5 TV Happenings at Comic Con 2013 

San Diego is currently under siege from comic, television, movie and all things entertainment related fans. The 2014 Comic Con has featured some tasty television treats to help satiate the huddled masses until their favorite shows return. Here are some of the best bits to come out of Comic Con so far.

1. The Walking Dead Season 4 Trailer

A lengthy look at what’s in store for the gang – (hint: a collapse of the prison safe haven and a possible dissenter in their midst.)

2. Celebrities Walking the Floors in Masks

Bryan Cranston made his way around the floor undetected while wearing a Heisenberg mask. Yes, a mask of himself. He later revealed the ruse at AMC’s Breaking Bad panel.

Matt Smith of Doctor Who wore a Bart Simpson mask as he tried to blend in and make friends using his American accent

to no avail.

4. Game of Thrones: In Memoriam & Khal Drogo’s Surprise Return

A hilarious montage of the realm’s deceased opened the HBO drama Game of Thrones’ panel, set to the none other than Boyz II Men tearjerker “It’s So Hard to Say Good-Bye”

Khal Drogo also made a surprise appearance as he stormed onstage and kissed an unsuspecting Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen later during the panel. Immediately after, he proclaimed, “I’m not dead George (R. R. Martin)!” The blushing Emilia Clarke responded, “My Sun and Stars.”

5. Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Trailer

BBC’s Doctor Who, the most anticipated television event across the pond with a now full-blown fandom here in the States, premiered an exclusive new trailer for the 50th Anniversary Special. Only catch? It’s not available to watch online

yet. But here’s what we know – Daleks. The Time War. Witty banter between Matt Smith and David Tennant. Rabid fans screaming everywhere.
