The Ultimate Sugar High Now Exists in SA

The word moderation has no meaning inside Bubble Waffle Bar. They opened their doors with Hong Kong waffle sandwiches, ice cream tacos and HK waffles filled with ice cream, all manners of toppings, syrups, fruit bits and what nots.

So, it makes sense for them to have duplicated a treat made popular by Sugar Sugar ice cream shop in Ontario, Canada. Known internationally as an ice cream burrito, the dessert is made up of flattened, freshly spun cotton candy, scoops of ice cream, "unicorn dust" and rolled into the saccharine version of a burrito. It's food porn to the max.

And it's now in San Antonio.

The staff at Bubble Waffle Bar, which opened earlier this spring near John Marshall High School, tops their "cotton candy ice cream roll" is topped with your drizzle of choice and Fruity Pebbles, and is available for $7.99.

Bubble Waffle Bar is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday;  11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.

7755 Eckhert Road, (210) 425-9813.
