‘The Voice’ To Kick-Off Live Tour In San Antonio

Fans of NBC’s The Voice, prepare to get excited. The reality singing competition with the mechanized chairs that turn to reveal things like Blake Shelton, is kicking-off its summer tour in San Antonio at the Majestic Theatre on June 21. Think of it like the American Idol concert tour or the Glee concert tour, but for The Voice instead.

Those partial to Adam Levine, People’s reigning “Sexiest Man Alive,” may be disappointed, as he won’t take the Majestic stage. Instead, the concert will feature The Voice winners and fan favorite contestants using their voices to entertain audiences in a live, instead of televised, setting.

The confirmed line-up, thus far, includes first season second-place winner Dia Frampton, who, while she has no relation to the “Baby, I Love Your Way” Peter Frampton, can still belt out a tune. Joining Frampton is fifth season contestant Will Champlin, son of Chicago’s Bill Champlin, so there is a classic rock connection, if that is a concern. The confirmed roster of singers also includes season five runner-up and Selena Gomez doppelgänger Jacquie Lee and season five winner Tessanne Chin, who wowed all four judges with her rendition of Pink’s “Try.”

The line-up will be filled out with this season's winner and second and third runner up contestants, plus a fan favorite that viewers of The Voice can vote for on social media. So that’s eight voices for the price of one ticket.

Tickets go on sale April 17 at 10 a.m. at and
