Curated by Bruce M. Shackelford, the Witte’s "The Wests of Texas: Cattle Ranching Entrepreneurs" explores the Wests’ contributions to Texas history via artifacts, paintings, documents and photographs. A visual counterpart to Shackelford's book of the same name (available for purchase in the Witte Museum Store), the exhibit runs concurrently with "Spurs for Texas: Selections from the Leo Quintanilla Collection," which brings together a selection of spurs worn by the working cowboys and vaqueros of South Texas.
