The building remains a landmarks – even if just for locals – given its history.
Ladies could get pampered at the beauty salon found inside the store.
Because it was the '60s, there was even a special section just for fancy furs.
The budget dresses section was likely a hot spot for ladies trying to save a few bucks.
In case you forgot, Joske's even had its own dining room, named the Camellia Room.
You sure as hell can't get service like that anymore.
If you were born and raised in SA during this era, you probably spent a lot of time begging for a toy here.
Little girls could find all the latest fashions here.
Academy who? Joske's had its own sporting goods department.
Juniors' clothes sure have changed quite a bit.
Because this is Texas, the store even had a full-on Western clothing department.
Does anyone still have their furniture pieces from Joske's?
The Las Palmas location was much smaller, but still had a lot to offer.
The iconic downtown store welcomed generations of shoppers before it shut down.
And who can forget about Joske's Fantasyland?
Joske's did not play around with its seasonal decorations.
Children and adults alike were wowed by the seasonal display.
Young boys could score cool clothes here.
Due to the department store surrounding St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the site was nicknamed St. Joske's.
So much tableware, so little time.
