This Dude Seriously Ran After His Tire in the Middle of Traffic on a Houston Highway

Leave it to Houston to keep the wacky news stories coming.

Last weekend, drivers reported seeing a man chase down a tire that spontaneously came off of his car.

Yes, he ran after the tire. On the highway. In the middle of Houston traffic.

Rafael Sanchez captured video of the man running across multiple lanes to catch the tire making its way downtown.

Luckily, drivers around him slowed down. The man later came forward, identifying himself as Mitch Chapman and said he chased the tire so it wouldn't cause any damage to other vehicles on the road.

The bizarre incident comes just months after a giant spool was spotted rolling down a Houston highway.
