For an extremely topical Halloween costume, Steve and Megan Peglar decided to pay tribute to Beto O'Rourke. But instead of capturing the essence of Beto, U.S. Senate candidate and Beto, '90s rocker, the couple decided to bring in a familiar face to pair with O'Rourke.
Steve used his tall frame to dress up as Beto as comes out in all of his photos: wearing a simple, light blue dress shirt with sweat stains on his chest and underarms.
As for Megan, she went with Willie Nelson, who faced a lot of backlash from Republicans who somehow thought the weed-loving musician wasn't a Democrat.
Anyway, here's the look they were going for.
The Fort Worth couple's costume comes from the heart, as the two both have plenty of Beto content on their Instagram pages. They weren't alone in their Beto costumes, as a number of social-media users tagged O'Rourke to show off their costumes.View this post on Instagram

This year was too hard to choose, so we had three outfits this year. We obviously went with @betoorourke because he’s a good person who wants to do good things for Texas, Sally Jessy Raphael because she’s a good person who was really able to connect with her guests, and Batman because he’s a good person who wants to do good things for Gotham. #bubsforbeto #bubsforsallyjessyraphael #bubsforbatman
