The concept of urban reuse seems to be taking off in the downtowns of big Texas cities — and even in Boerne as well. At least when it comes to this $1.1 million property now listed for sale.
Built four years ago on the original site for the Boerne Livery Stable, which was established around the mid-1800s, this three-story brick home incorporates elements from the historic structure. Among the found artifacts that made their way into the design are iron tie-rings set into the brick and a barn door constructed from the stable's old lumber.
The 2,700-square foot property is also located in the heart of the old German village-turned-San Antonio bedroom community, in walking distance to the breweries, wine bars and restaurants that keep proliferating there. We guess that kind of qualifies as urban living, right?
This home is listed by Judith Rivers with Phyllis Browning Company.
